MUVS on display

Four exemplary newly opened or rebuilt museums in Europe were presented to the about 4000 visitors of the museum fair Exponatec in Cologne in 2011. Besides the MUVS, the ‘Best in Heritage Excellence Club’ selected: Salzburg Museum, Museum for Natural History in Neuenburg/ Switzerland and the Puppet Museum NUKU in Tallinn/ Estonia. Our director DDr. Christian Fiala spoke about the ‘way from heteronomy to self-determiniation’. The MUVS stand showed panels from the actual museum as well as a view into the museum; it was planned and designed by our designer team eeza in Graz. The interest in the topics covered by our museum and the didactic implementation was significant.

Exponatec takes place every two years as an international fair for museums, conservation, and cultural heritage and appeals to art houses (‘Kunsthäuser’), cultural and educational institutions, event organizers, representatives from art, culture, and preservation organizations, antiques dealers, model assembly and staging experts, museums and collections, art restorers, scientists, foundations, development associations, administrations of castles and art buildings. In 2011 it covered 247 exhibitors from 17 countries.
