Silver cervical cap
Older model of a cervical cap, to be placed by the doctor, or if necessary the woman herself, with a spermicidal cream onto the cervix.
Cervical caps can be put in place after menstruation has subsided and can stay until the next bleeding. What is important is that the cervical cap be fitted precisely to the size of the cervix. The cervix is smaller in women who have not yet given birth.
Cervical caps were manufactured from various materials. The newer models can more easily be inserted and removed by women themselves.
